Default New Rifle

The Brown Truck finally delivered my new ground hog rifle. The action is a blue printed and sleeved 700. The barrel is a 28" Krieger with a 1in8 twist(22-250). I upgraded the trigger, and used the Manners stock. The smith Cera-Koted the entire rifle. I sure hope she shoots. Now all I have to do is come up with a name?? Tom.

Looks very nice indeed. How about calling it The Dog Dirtnapper? Congrats.

Nice rifle.

Wow, a 1 in 8 twistfor a 22-250. You should be able to shoot Berger 90 grain bullets out of that thing.

Are you left handed or did you go with a LH action so you could work the bolt w/o taking your trigger hand off the stock and remain on the hogs?

.......Hey Tom.....Somebody goofed up!! The bolt's on the wrong side!! And what's that big hole in the stock for? So you can hang it up??
Seriously...Nice looking piece....and yes, what for glass??
Looks and sounds like it should be a real shooter with heavier bullets.
Name?? The "Terminator" should fit well.... Don.

I'd guess it's a Ziess Conquest 4.5 -14 x 50mm. That thing cost more then most peoples rifles.

Zeiss 6.5X20, with TT, and Mil-Dot reticle.

There was one particular load, and bulletI want to shoot. So I built the rifle around the load. The load is 36 grains of H-414 underneath a 75 grain Hornady A-Max. I am wanting approx. 3200 fps. Tom.
