Default Remington SPR 94

I am looking at the 22/410 combo.

I have 2 questions...

1. If the rifle is sighted in with a scope, will the shotgun hit close?

2. Are the triggers awful?

Any other info would be great.

Thanks!

Have the 223/12 ga. combo. Had the same concerns. Took a couple shooting sessions to figure it out, but finally found it liked the 55 grain bullets best. Sighted the rifle in at 100 yards, shot the shotgun at 35 yards and the pattern was OK. I don't believe the shotgun pattern was centered exactly but there was enough there for a kill. The trigger pull is typical field gun heavy pull but crisp. I really like the double trigger set-up. So far the gun is a keeper, the only drawback is it's a little on the heavy side. The more I shoot it the more I like it. Hope this helps.

I know a guy that has bought more than one of these... One is pretty decent, the other was so bad he sent it back under warr... They never got it right, and he got rid of it... From what i've seen, the Savages are no better...

It's the luck of the draw, with the odds against you...

Thanks guys...As it seems, and as I've heard...they are apparently too good to be true.

I was considering the SPR 94, but the .223/12GA version has the shotgun barrel on top and the rifle barrel on bottom. All wrong IMO. I still may be one though.

Legion...That is apparently a Russian thing, with these guns being Baikal.

I went and looked at them today...I was far from impressed on the feel and workmanship.

Remington is heading for the crapper if they don't start building some quality guns...IMO

Some love them, I do not.

I'm not so sure... Break open actions like these, handle high pressures better by having the rifle bbl lower. When i work up loads for an O/U double rifle, any load that will work in the upper bbl, will "always" show lower pressures in the lower bbl.

Having the rifle bbl lower, hasn't made one difference for me.
