My father-in-law offered to give me an old surplused 7.65 Argentine. I didn' t catch the model #, however. I checked out Chuck Hawks, and he mentioned it being comparable to a .303 or .308.
My question is:
Are these old South American army surplus guns worth anything (I understand it' s impossible to judge value over the internet/telephone, but just in general)? If not, what are the possiblities of rechambering?
You gunsmithing guys might be able to help me out with the technical aspects.
Thanks.

I wouldn' t spend much money on it, but it' s a powerful round and if you can get softpoint ammo or find someone to reload it in softpoint it' s a fine deer rifle. I' d guess it' s roughly equivalent to a .308 but it' s military and it' s a fine gun but not the thing I' d convert.....shoot it " as is" .
