Default Mag cut off

Was looking at the thread about the win shotgun.Somebody was talking about the magazine cut off on the Gold Hunter.I have an older one and it does not have one.It is a 3" model. All of the 3-1/2 and 10 bores I have seen have it .Is this a 3" thing or is mine just lucky.....All of my A-5s have it.........Alton

I am not sure why they excluded the 3" models. All my 3" models do not have it and my 3.5" and A5's do. I have a feeling its because most people use 3" for ducks these days and 3.5" for geese. And thats the real benefit. I use the feature alot here in MD, where the occasional goose comes by while teal or blue bill hunting.

The Gold 10’s do not have a magazine cutoff lever like most of the 12 gauge Gold models do. Gold 3” models like the Fusion, Evolve, and the Classic (FLD) models all have the magazine cutoff switch. Not sure why some of the Gold’s don’t have them. It’s a mistake on Browning’s part as far as I’m concerned.

The Browning Silvers and Winchester SX2 and SX3 don’t have a magazine cutoff lever. They can be tricked into having a magazine cutoff though. Pushing up slightly on the carrier while pulling the bolt back, blocks the rounds in the magazine.
