roman,,, IMO leave it for a qualified gunsmith. I' ve been one for 27 years and can' t count the number of times I have had to repair a " tinkerer' s weapon.

roman, Yup, take it to a smith! It is not that expensive. A qualified gunman can " hone and stone" to approve but you need to know what you are doing. Personally, for a shotgun shooting shot IMO you really don' t need to mess around with it. LOL

I did my own in my M 37 Ithaca Deerslayer. use fine hard Arkansas stones, polish up the surfaces of the moving parts and engaging surfaces/notches, etc., BUT DON' T REMOVE ANY METAL OR CHANGE ANY ANGLES OF ENGAGING NOTCHES, ETC.

Take it to a competent smith,It will cost you less in the long run if you screw it up.I' ve never have had a trigger job done on any of my scatter guns.I personally don' t see the need for a shotgun with a light trigger. To each their own.
