if i had shots over 10yds i would go with the 25-06rem. but since my shots are up close i like the 308win.

Quilly, if your shots are under 10 yards, you might as well hunt with a baseball bat!


Any of the three will work fine. I' d go with the .243 for varmints and the .308 for deer sized game. Nothing wrong with the 25-06, it' s just not at the top of my list.

25.06 would be my choice of the three mentioned.

I vote .243 because I' ve never fired a 25-06 and I own a .243 that has been great. I think they will all perform well with a good shooter.

I have all 3 calibers in my safe and I' ll take the 25-06 anyday...
