sooner, not trying to flame you but have you seen this trigger. It has a sear lock as part of the external trigger. The gun will not fire without first depressing the sear lock. It is along the lines of the grip safty on a 1911, according to this report transparent to normal operation. Additionally, the trigger pull is user adjustable from 1.5 lbs to 6 lbs with a factory supplied tool. It sounds too me like the answer to the crappy factory triggers of the past 30+ years.

pluto thanks for the description. Now I can realize what it' s like. From the previous description before the author made it sound like a " set" hair trigger design. Which on a hunting rifle isn' t always the best.

Savage really needs to put this trigger on their sporter rifles also I think once people catch on to this new trigger savage will have to consider doing this its really neat
