Try a search as there's been a LOT of discussion on this very topic lately.

I have a Remington 597 in 17 HMR it's OK and I haven't had any problems with it. I've heard of some problems with the 597 in .22 though. I also have a Remington 552 and a Marlin 39A Golden lever action. For fun you can't beat the 39A, they are probably the best made .22 around.

lol i finally got one man..........sorry its not a ruger i got a savage mark II dix exclusive one with a wood stok and it came with a simmons scope too
