Bronco sweet gun!!!

FA, thanks for all the info. Did you ever get a griz with your 45-70?? I'm really thinking about pulling the trigger on one of these things.

Wow, after looking at the Garrett site I am impressed with their stuff. I wasn't aware that a 45/70 loaded with the 540's could take down elephants, lions, buffalo, grizzly. Really, this may be the best brush gun and this ammo seems to be the best.

FA, do you think running this ammo will damage the gun?? What is cool is I can use it to hunt whitetail, boar hunt etc with lighter loads, and still have the ability to kill any other animal on the planet using the heavier loads.

You can have a problem with the Garrett's in the Marlin. I have seen a couple, and read about a couple that had feeding problems. Out of a Marlin these loads will hit you HARD. Recoil can be brutal. Tom.

This ammo won't damage your riflemainly because it's so darned expesive, you can't afford to shoot too much of it. The psi rating is at the top end of Marlins specs, so I'm not sure it would damage anything. Like head0001 said, they hit you hard and there are some feeding problems. I didn't experience any problems myself, but I have heard stories.

Tom,
I would like to, but I only have pictures on 35mm film and I don't have a scanner. Someday I'll have one.
