Default Tikka Rifles

Does anyone have any comments about these rifles? Are they accurate? I am considering a Ruger No.1 or a Tikka in 7mm. Rem. mag. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I got a LH Tikka in .308 this past fall. At 100 yards it is about 1 inch groups and at 200 yards about 2 1/2 inches with factory remington loads. You will hear a few people complain about the magazines because they are made of plastic, these are the same people who don' t own a Tikka either, I don' t have any complaints about the Tikka whatsoever. I topped it off with a Leupold VX2 3-9x40

Deer Magnet, have you tried any other ammo? I currently have a Ruger that shoots 3/8" groups with Federal Premiums. It does' nt like or shoot Rem. ammo.
Thanks

Deer Magnet, the LH does that mean left handed? I have looked through their website and have not seen anything for lefties.

Turd, I haven' t tried anything else out as of yet, but where I hunt I can' t shoot farther than 60 yards in any direction. But I plan on using others this spring to see how it shoots.

Arbowhntr, they have 13 different calibers to choose from in Left Hand, go to this page http://www.tikka.fi/datatable_us.html

Turd,

I currently have three Tikka' s. A .308, .243, and a .223. All three shoot around 1/2" with handloads at 100 yards.

ARBowHtr, as of last fall Browning/Winchester had no immediate plans to include the WSM offerings for their rifle line in left. I am sure tikka is similar. If they keep on selling hot maybe but the south paw is a limited market, so keep that in mind. Possibly check out a custom rifle.

I haven' t heard anything bad other than fit and finish (which includes the plastics), with Tikka.
