ORIGINAL: oldelkhunter [ol][*]Blaser R93[*]Blaser K95[*]Haven't owned a sig sauer but owned the colt sauer and don't think the quality declined[*]Sako custom deluxe[/ol]

have and I repeat have not been impressed at all by semi-customs that cost under 3000 dollars and or who use a modified Remington action
I completely agree with the list, but you will have a hard time finding a Blaser for under $3K. I shop Blasers daily looking for those deals, and they have become few and far between. I am in the process of buy two R-93's right now, but it has been over a month since I had seen any "deals".

In my opinion, if you want the most bang for under $3K, it is a Sauer 202.

x2

The Sauer P90s were nailers. I bought one for $1550 in 30/06 with a 1-6x42 Diavari on it. Kept the diavari and resold the gun for $1300. Lord it was beautiful... too beautiful to hunt with. Wish I'd kept it... but I don't need a safe gun. The 202s I have shot have all been sub MOA guns.

Most of the K-95s are over $3K now, especially the Stuttzens, but they sure are pretty. I'd love one in 7x57.

I'm telling you..... look at gunbroker.... there are plenty of lightly used Dakota 76s on there going for under $3K. Some with $1K pieces of glass on them.

Here is a Dakota for you for less than $3K, and it is beautiful.

Not much mention of Weatherby? I have been eyeing an Ultra Lite in .270 win. I have had one in my hands and it felt pretty good. Its also 5 3/4 lbs w/ a 24" barrel. That is quite interesting to me. Anyone have experience with these?
