Default Camo Dipping

Hey guys new to the forum and was wondering something. I have a factory dipped camo shotgun but it seems that the camo is chipping or peeling off. I would like to have the gun redipped but am unsure if it is possible to dip a gun over a previous factory camoflauge, if so should I try to strip all of the camo off before sending the gun to be dipped or just send it in the way it is? Thanks
