Has anyone ever used these scopes and are they any good? Ive been looking at them they seem well made and very clear.

I've owned a few over the years. The Weaver scopes alway struck me as overpriced for the quality, others may feel differnet though.

The new scopes are outstanding and quite frankly I don't know why they are not more popular. They are made by the same optics firm that makes the Nikon scope line. I looked thru their 1.5x6 at a gun show over the weekend and it is one beautiful scope...extremely clear and appear to be well made and their warranty reflects it. They have a lifetime plus a 2 week turnaround on service. I am a long time Leupold owner but these scopes give them a run for the money especially the Vx II which are a joke.

I got one of their current production 2.5-8x pistol scopes scout mounted on a .308 bolt action and it has worked well so far.

I agree with you oldelkhunter, I don't know why they are not more popular either. The clarity and brightness is outstanding. I am also a Leupold man, having 3 Var-X III's, but the new Weaver Grand Slam is right up there with them, but for half the cost.

About a year or so ago I bought a Weaver V24. So far it's worked out well. I just wish I hadn't bought that high a powered scope, but it's a done deal now.I'm impressed with it's quality.I just didn't need that high a power.Shop around. I found mine @ Natchez Shooters Supplies. Regular price was right at 330.00 on sale for 259.00.This scope is called their Classic Variable scopes. It has the Lifetime warranty.I do allot of buying through MidSouth S.S. They couldn't come near the price this time on the Weaver's like Natchez did.
www.natchezss.com or www.midsouthshooterssupply.com.
I think you would be satisfied with a Weaver.

The new Weavers are a great scope. Second to none that I have seen. They are a bit to pricey for me but I may put one on laway some time. I am just a poor man. All but two of my scopes were well under a hundred bucks.
