Default Ultra Mag Owners?

Just wondering how many Ultra Mag owners are out there ? And which one do you own? Also how did you do this hunting season with them? I got 2 whitetail does with my 7mm Ultra Mag using 160 grain nosler partitions.

I own a 7mm Ultra Mag, and used it this past deer season. Took a 5 pointer @ 130 yards using factory 160gr Nosler Partitions.

I have a 300RUM and took a nice 8 pointer at about 175 yds using a 180gr Hornady SST and 101grs of Retumbo.

Yep, I have had two. Took it moose hunting. But other than truck hunting for elk, its just my 900 yard target gun now as I have target turrets and all on it. Little heavy for spot and stalks for me. Newfoundland wore me out with it. Just didn't feel right not hunting with my old faithful 270win this year.

Well, it wasn't the fact that I thought the 300RUM was way too big but more of bad luck changing guns. I have used this 270 since I was 14 or 15.

I've got a sendero sf 300 rum. Had it for two years now and I love it! So far I've only hunted whitetails with it. I get razzed a little bit about using such a large round but you can't argue with the accuracy. I've also never had to track a deer that I've shot with it! I just got dies for it and I'm looking forward to working with the round.

I have a Remington 700LSS in 300UM with 6X18X40 Redfield. I bought the gun just cause the deal was great and the gun is pretty. Ididnt really buy the gun to replace or change my main deer rifle. I have been shooting it with 180 nosler partitions and it shoots great. recoil isnt that bad. I only hunted with it one day during doe season and took a doe at 486yds one quick clean kill ( and yes I shoot at these ranges and have for years). Meat damage was a little more than I like but oh well
