I have a bolt action Smith and Wesson rifle in 243 calibur that I purchase from a guy at work. A guy gave it to him to cover a debt and since he didn't hunt or shoot he sold it to me. It has a 3x9 Gold ring Leupold scope on it. I paid him 400$. It is an extremely accurate gun and in like new condition. I have been told by others that Smith and Wesson no longer makes rifles. Anyone here had any expierience with these rifles or know why S&W stopped making them. Would love to hear from any of you about it.

The Smith and Wesson line (made by Howa in Japan) was sold to Mossberg and they eventually gave it up. Howa is trying to sell directly to the US Markets today with some success.
At $400 you got a heck of a deal.....It's a fine gun!!
