just wondering what you would get a 7mm rem mag or a 7mm rem short action ultra mag.

if i had to choose between the two and since i favor a short action. i would go with the 7mmWSM.

Gee - I have no idea what you will be hunting, but if it is anything short of brown bears, I'd go with the SAUM.

Between the two, get the 7mm Rem Mag. Sales of the SAUM have been a disaster. IMO, the SAUM will disappear in a few years. Winchester is winning the short action magnum battle by a wide margin. If you want a short action magnum go with the 7mm WSM.

I would get the 7mm remmag over either of the short magnums.
