I have a Rem. 700 ADL and it is perhaps the best and most accurate rifle that I have ever owned. Oh yeah... it is a 270. Winchester.

I bought a 700 BDL in a .30-06 earlier this year. It is a beautiful gun. I put a 3-9x40 Leupold scope on it. Before I made any adjustments, it was only shooting an inch high at 100 yards. It is very accurate. Ask all of the hogs I've killed with it! But I don't think you could go wrong with an ADL. The price is right! I have a friend that has an ADL and he loves it.

I have a safe full of 700's, and as TG Sheperd said, "i've loved 'em every one". I have tried sako, browning, s&w, winchester, baretta mato, etc, and i've found some that i really liked, but imo the 700 is the "out of the box" king, unchallenged. I have never seen a bad one!
And as T.G. Sheperd also said, "Wish I could have kept them all".

(Man are we dating ourselves....yea, we're old. lol)

Last week we bought a New 700 ADL in 270 Winat Wally World. 24"bbl matte finish w/synthetic stock. It didn't come with sightsfor 325.00. They had the same rifle in 243 for 300.00. They are just a plain Jane rifle. I've had the same rifle except it has a 22"bbl and sightsfor 12 years or longer and have taken several deer with it. It will do it's job, if you do yours.

My 700 ADL synthetic in 257 Roberts Shoots better than I can. It's a tool, if your cool with a synthetic stock then go for it.

I own a 300 RUM in SPS. I also own a 270 ADL with a synthetic stock. Both can shoot better than I can. I wouldn't trade or sale either one, at least not today!

Edit- I haven't had any problems with the synthetic stock, in fact I prefer them because both of these guns are in the woods a lot!
