Does any one shoot the super x silver tips by winchister? If so, how do they work for white tail deer?

I've used the 180 grain superx silvertip 30-06 bullets on deer. It blew a hole the size of a silver dollar through it but this was a super close 5 yard shot through bone. Alot of my friends use them, most in 180 grain but some in 150. I don't really like the recoil of the 180. I'll be using the 150 grain silvertip this upcomming season.

Please, any one else use this shell in a 130 for 270. Or ,have you heard ant thing good or bad about them> Thanks

I've never used them cause I hunt ek with my .270. My grandfather, before he handed down his .270 to me, used them religiously. That's the only bullet he would buy factory loaded and one of two that he reloaded for. He did use them to take four elk however. They were not big elk but still alot bigger than Florida whitetails.

Don't hit bone with them (shoulder). Good luck.
