I recently purchased a NEF handi rifle in 280rem. I picked up a couple boxes of Hornady 139gr. sst. They shot horrible! So, I know i need to try something else. Anyone have any experiece with these rifles and could tell me a couple of different rounds that may work. It gets expensive blindly trying ammo.

I have a 280 NEF rifle. It does not shoot great but will always keep the groups to 2 inches at 100 yards. I have never shot factory ammo in mine but it shoots pretty well with Sierra 120 grain Pro Hunter bullets. I might suggest that you take your NEF questions to www.graybeardoutdoors.com and check in on the NEF centerfire forums. They have lots of tips for accurizing the Handi rifle. Great bunch of guys as well.
