You are right. I should not name call. The public rages around here see these types all of the time. People doing things at a range that just don't make sense and/or are dangerous. That is when I pack up and leave. You can’t explain to them why they shouldn’t do what they are doing. They don’t understand. I love poking holes in paper but not at the risk of being around some of the (I said it before)s that show up at the range from time to time. Again you are right. What phrase should I use?

It seemed kind of fake to me. It looked to me that he knocked his own ear protection and glasses of with his own arm. And they never really show you a direct shot of anything, its all off to the side or looking at the ground. And that richochet sound didnt sound like any richochet that I have ever heard. When I was about 11 years old I got tired of setting cans back up so I set up an old spade shovel head, well that wasnt too good of an idea because the richochet flew right past my head and hit the house and made a 50 cent piece size bruise in the sideing. And that was just from a 22. Oops, didnt do that one anymore.

If there is one thing I've learned from this site is that kids should not be allowed to play with guns on their own no matter how much confidence you have in them and no matter what age.

Tuk, I've read stories like that here many times before. Dummest thing I've done is fire a cross bow straight up in the air.

Cool! I once put a 1-gallon can of orange juice on the target frame at 100 yards with the end of the can facing the firing point.

I shot it with a 130-grain bullet from a 20" barreled .270 WIN. The can was blown to bits, none of which were larger than a quarter. Except for the end of the can which was facing me. It had a .277" size entrance hole in the center, and that circular piece of steel was blown back toward the firing line, landing about 10' in front of my shooting bench! It had travelled almost 100 yards back toward me.
