RE: What group size is your rifle shooting?
Thats a shame to send an overpriced rifle to be fixed so it will shoot!
I must wonder what you paid the premium for in the first place? Glenn |
RE: What group size is your rifle shooting?
I know I don't have a picture to prove it, but the other day I took my Savage 116 .270 out and ran 10 shots through it pretty fast, racking the bolt and firing as soon as the crosshairs alligned with the target.I wassitting onthe groundand resting the forend on a little table. I think i could have covered all of the holes, excepting one or two of them, with my clenched fist.
Again, I don't have a picture and I wasn't shooting from a very solid rest (never shot my rifle from a benchrest), but I thought that that was a tolerable group for deer hunting this year.:) |
RE: What group size is your rifle shooting?
A friend of mine got a Kimber in 325 WSM this past summer. He had similar grouping trouble for awhile. After feeding it factory ammo for awhile and then starting to try working up handloads, it straightened up and is now shooting quite nice. Maybe a bit of a rough bore.......
