extended rings?
I have a savage model 111that Ihave to strain to see through my scope. I heard rumor in the past to there being extended rings you can buy to move the scope back. I have never seen any around though. If someone could confirm this for me and maybe tell me what company makes them so i can pick a pack up i would greatly appreciate it.

RE: extended rings?
I recently picked up a pair of Leupold extended rings for my son's Rem 700. I got them from Midway. Here is the link: http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=122613&t=11082005

I also have the Savage 111. I use the Leupold standard rings and 2 piece mount and I am just at the limit of the eye relief when I use full magnification (9x). I am not really happy with the set-up and I will likely change it in the future.

RE: extended rings?
I have had a ton Savage long action rifles and I went to extended rings on every one of them. I want some leway when mounting my scopes. Savage should include them with every non sighted rifle.[:@]
