Hey guys, I got that Varminter upper today that I bought off GunBroker. I took my rings off my Ruger, they are Warne QD mediums, and it seems that the picatinny rail, on the AR,has wider slots. The rings move forward and back. Do they take special rings or something???

I dont know about the rings you are useing, but weavers, leupold, and burris all work fine on mine, possible that you are not tightening them down enough. The picatinny rail is baced off the weaver rail, it just has all the slots for multiple mounting capibilities.

I tried some Weavers and they tighten down tight, but the slot on the gun is about 1/3 bigger then the slot on the rings. Is that right??
