You may be able to order one from taurus. Apples and oranges ,but ruger will send one out for the black hawk its about 75.00 . Doug Turnbull is a name I hear alot in the Cowboy action circles .

Sorry if this sounds stupin, but , I thoughtt half moon clips could be used to run acp's in long colt cyl. Might be worth checking out? the only problem I can see would be clearance from frame & cylinder (chamber) ?
JUST A THOUGHT. GB50

No, a .45 ACP round in a half-moon clip will protrude from the cylinder too far to work in a revolver headspaced for the .45 COLT round-the .45 Colt case has a much thinner rim than results from the combined thickness of the .45 ACP and the clip. Take a look at the .45 Auto-Rim case, and compare that rim with the one on the .45 COLT round. You will see what I am referring to.

However, if you could get another .45 COLT cylinder from Taurus, the cylinder can be mounted in a lathe and the rear end of the cylinder can be turned off until the ACP round in the half-moon clip (or the .45 Auto-Rim case w/o clips) will headspacecorrectly in the frame. Doing thiswould be about the same operation as converting the British .455 Webley to use .45 ACP in clips (or the .45 Auto-Rim round w/o clips. MANY THOUSANDS of such conversions have been done since the end of WWII.)

Any decent revolver/pistol smith can do this simple conversion. Please let us know of your results! Get a copy of HANDGUNNER magazine-it's full of ads from such outfits.

Actually Ruger won't send one out. They will only fit them to a customer's gun and then only in such a way that the end result is the same configuration s a cataloged model convertable.
Anyways...I'd ask some of the more noted smiths about it. It'll cost you proberly at least 1/2 the price of a new gun I'd think and proberly a good lead time. Maybe ask ata Taurus forum.
