Default Barrel question!!

If you shot snake shot ammo thru a hand gun barrel, will it damage the inside over time?

No. Lead is softer than steel. NO factory-made projectile damages a barrel. Bore erosion is due to hot gas cutting (actually, melting) away the steel, NOT bullet friction.

Leading may occur, but once the lead is cleaned out, the bore is still OK.
