I just bought a new Browning Buckmark Camper. Does anyone have any experience with this particular model Browning? There were so many differnet versions of Buckmarks, I chose this one mainly because it was in my price range. Any comments are appreciated. Thanks.

i have the buckmark standard it was a bit more than the camper...i posted about buckmarks when i was buying mine i forget what the guys here said about the camper...they will reply if they are still around the board i bet...if it carries the browning name to me i doubt it will be junk..i know its made cheaper than the standard but i think it will still be a fine pistol..i love mine..i just bought another magazine for it tonight...great little gun...alot of people seem to like the ruger mark II better but my dad goes through hell to clean his..i can clean mine and shoot another 200 rounds and reclean mine and he will still be fighting with his...i really cleaned my buck mark and my mauser before in the same day good thorough cleanings and my dad was still on his mark II...and i didnt like the way the ruger felt...anyways..good luck with your buckmark..i know i love mine...only thing i dont like is the sights...i think im going to get a fiber optic front sight..after shooting for a while like 200+rds non-stop it all starts to blur..i think a fiber optic will help...hope shes good to you!

Thanks Mauser06 for your reply. I went to shoot my camper today and was impressed with the accuracy. I still have some tinkering to do with the different brands of ammo, good thing .22 ammo is cheap. I would like to change the sites one day also, do you know of any web sites that sells the fiber optic sights that would fit the camper? Thanks.

heres brownings page... http://www.browning.com/products/cat...ies/sights.htm and heres a place that sells them a pic is at top the link to buy the buckmark sight is at the bottom of the page http://www.blueridgeoutdoorsports.co...viz_sites.html i talked to my dad today about it and he told me i can get them so i think im going to...the accuracy from them little pistols is pretty good...i seen a guy that had his for a while and was pretty good hang a clay pigeon on a tree trunk and bust it from atleast 50yds away with 2 shots...thats pretty good shootin for a pistol i think...they are a blast to shoot swinging targets and cans and such with i love doin that...
