I shoot Georgia Arms 55 grain FMJ (bought 1,000 rounds at the gun show) and get better groupings. I can't provide measurements though. Like you I'm using an EOTech sight. There's no way I can be certain that I'm holding at the same spot for each shot, its always a best guess.
As someone already suggested, try putting a scope on it and then try out some different ammo. I'm about ready to move a Leupold 4x12 off of another rifle for a few months just for the heck of it. The EOTechs are fun but as they're intended for close quarters I mostly practice for decent off-hand groups at 50 yards. |

I have a Bushy 20", my friend that I shoot with regularly has a 16". We both get around 2"+ with Wolf. With reloads, his shoots in the <1" range while mine is more in the 1-1.25" range. With cheap Remington,they are both slightly better than the Wolf. I have been wanting to get ahold of some Winchester white box, but it is always sold out everywhere I go. These are both scoped BTW so with an red dot, I think you are doing pretty good.
When the shooting gets serious, I get out the 24" SS Varmint flat top and shoot in the .5" range. |

There is a guy at this new club that shot a 491 with a DCM Bushy. I was impressed. Thats50 shotoffhanded, open sited. I asked what he did to the gun. He said nothing. Just handloaded for it. I would be a happy man to ever be able to shoot that well at 200 yards. |

ORIGINAL: cma3366a Just another thought. I assume your rifle has a 1-9 twist barrel, You may find it settles down a good bit with heavier loads. My DPMS will hover 1MOA with 52gr Sierra Matchkings (does 1.5 with Q3131 and Q3131a);with 69gr Sierras or 68 Hornadys and it drops to .5 .You may find improvement going toheavier bullets |
