I've only used two milsurps in my guns.....a model of 1917 Enfield (in
.375 H&H) and a whole bunch of Mausers.....in .220 Swift, 6MM Remington, .257 Roberts, 6.5 X 55 Swede, 7 X 57, .25-06, .280 Rem, 30-06, .35 Whelen, 9.3 X 62 and coming up now.....(drum roll) .416 Ruger on a Persian.

GARANDS, GARANDS, DID I MENTION GARANDS. According to General Patton it is the finest battle rifle of all times. I really like the M-14's also. I would also like to get one of the GEHWER(did I spell that right) in 8mm Mauser. I really like that one. It is almost as nice as my 03 Springfield's. You need all FOUR. Tom.

I like to collect military firearms.I will (and do) shoot them, some I have only shot once and then put them away for the next generations, some I shoot often. It depends on the firearm and how rare it is or how it's condition is that determines whether I shoot it often or not, but I like to shoot them all at least once. Idon't hunt with any, however I do have a few sporterized 03A3's and aMauser that I havehunted with.
Ilike to keep my military firearms as original as possible and will only sporterize if they are beyond saving.
