Can't believe the Nazis made these!

Look at these guns, do they look similar to something?
Of course, we're all familiar with the MP44, but look what follows it:

Full resolution (907 × 382 pixel, file size: 52 KB, MIME type: image/jpeg)

Those last two look like "last ditch" junk made by the desperate Krauts to issue to the Volksturm and Hitler Youth after there was no longer any hope for the poor SOB's!

Yeah, the Germans managed to build all kinds of concept weaponry in the last two years of the war. Most of it was snatched up by us, the British, and the Soviets, and features were often incorporated into later designs on all sides. Obviously because these were not production firearms, few examples remain, and the prices are so prohibitive that theaverage joe has little hope of owning one. The history lessons are interesting ones though.

I think that Sturm-Gewehr 45 looks pretty mean, more like an AK than the 44.
The last one does kinda look like crap, but there was another submachine gun, that the Germans made in 1945, and it was identical to the Sten, but it had a vertical magazine, not a side-ways.

I've handled the MP44 and the AKM, and the MP44 is much heavier and unweildy than the AKM. Besides the fact that the forearm on the MP44 is metal, not wood/synthetic, which can make for uncomfortable firing.
