Default Suggestions for 1911 .45 holster?

Purchased my first semi-automatic over the weekend. Need some advice for belt holsters. the gun is a cu$tom Ca$pian1911 .45therefore I am looking for a higher end holster that will offer good protection. I'd like it to be leatherbut not if it will damage the finish (blued)of the gun over time. I have heard that Galco or Bianchi may be what I'm looking for. Any suggestions on what to buy and how much to spend will be appreciated. I searched the forums and didnt come up with much.

Thanks,
Matt

Galco ,Rosen,Milt Sparks are only a few of the makers that make a nice holster , but DO NOT FORGET a GOOD BELT to go along with it.
There isn't any holster made that isn't going to wear on one's gun over time. It happens to all firearms that get used regularly.

I really like the look and feel of Tucker Gun Leather if you want aleather holster. If you want synthetic material,I really likethekydex rigsfrom Comp-tac.

Everything will damage a blued finish. That said, I strongly prefer:
Milt Sparks Holster
Allessi Holster
Rafter S Gunleather

. . .in that order. On a budget, Don Hume has worked well for me.

Another vote for Milt Sparks, the "NLG" ( Nelson Legacy ) is one of my favorites. For inside the the pants the " Summer Special " gets the nod. BTW both were designed by the late Bruce Nelson. Yup unless she's a safe queen your finish will wear, practicing presentations will give her some
caricature.

thank you gentlemen for all the suggestions. I'm pretty sure I will order a Bianchi Special Agent 59. At around $70 its fairly inexpensive, I really like the fact that its adjustable in any direction. I plan on using the gun in the field for coyotes etc so the security strap is nice also.

That is not cheap. $70 is fairly high end. I would look a Rafter S Gunleather, if I were you. I paid $55 for the one they made for me and it was customized.

Also, I would be highly leary of adjustable. Holsters need to be in one place. . .the right place!
