A well known, and respected, gunsmith in my area is offering a Remington 722 in .308 Win. He barreled the action, pillar bedded the stock and installed a 2 lb trigger. Sorry, but I don't know the brand of the components. The gun has mounts and rings. It is very light. He is asking $450. That seems like too much to me. What do you guys think?

Sounds worth it to me. You got to think, if he put on a new barrel, pillar bedded and trigger, thats 200 dollars worth of smithing alone. Rings are another 40 dollars. Steve, if you don't mind me asking, which smith is it? I am in Westminster area.
