It'll probably pass.

But at least it's just the old assault weapons ban, and they're not trying to ban all semi-auto weapons.

I still don't get why they ban those AR-15 and AR-10s, I mean, those things are so stinkin' expensive, what makes them think a poor street gang is going to get their hands on one.

There is absolutely no doubt that they will do their best to put it back in and if Hillary gets in, its automatic, done deal. Only they won't stop there. Handguns will be next.[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:'(][:'(][:'(][:'(][:@][:@][:@]

What is an assault weapon? I've got some of the stuff they are talking about, but my rifles have never assaulted anybody.[:@]

Punctuation is your friend.

But at least it's just the old assault weapons ban, and they're not trying to ban all semi-auto weapons.
Except that a background check is needed for any private individual to sell an 'assault weapon' to another private individual. Also note that there is a new addition with transferring a magazine that holds over 10 rounds- If you sell an AR to a friend with a pair of 20 rd magazines, you can expect to do 20 years in prison. This bears repeating: 10 years in prison for selling a bent piece of sheet metal with a spring inside it!

It will probably be amendedbefore passed to make the bill permanent without the 10 year sunset- Democrats have been waiting a long time to pass such a bill.
