I still don't get why they ban those AR-15 and AR-10s, I mean, those things are so stinkin' expensive, what makes them think a poor street gang is going to get their hands on one.

Except that a background check is needed for any private individual to sell an 'assault weapon' to another private individual. Also note that there is a new addition with transferring a magazine that holds over 10 rounds- If you sell an AR to a friend with a pair of 20 rd magazines, you can expect to do 20 years in prison. This bears repeating: 10 years in prison for selling a bent piece of sheet metal with a spring inside it!




It will probably be amendedbefore passed to make the bill permanent without the 10 year sunset- Democrats have been waiting a long time to pass such a bill.
