I am an avid whitetail hunter but hope to in a year or two to start elk hunting too. I am looking to get a new rifle, and wanted to get one that would effectively take both.

I was looking at possibly getting a Browning A-Bolt.
Just wondering what your guys thoughts on this would be.

Really just a 30/06 with a slightly wider pill. Pretty much a clone in performance.
There are probably better choices, but I already own this one, so the price is correct.

Either my 30.06 ormy 7mm Rem Mag. I givemy 7 Mag the slight edge on betterspeed and and accuracyextended ranges passed 250 yards.

Any Good Quality Bolt Action, but 30.06 is probably the best "All Around" cartridge out there.

The Browning A-Bolt in the .270 WSM is a real sweetheart. With a 140 Accubond, this caliber will do well with either species. A 7 Rem Mag would also be a good choice. And a .300 WSM or .300 Win Mag would be more for elk, but is still a great deer rifle if the recoil doesn't bother you.

.300wm they are very good med. I also like the .270wsm

280 Rem if you handload is a good choice.

If not then7mm rem mag, 3006or the 300's (WM or WSM).
