Thoughts on price

I am considering selling one of my guns to fund another project. Just not sure what I should ask for it.
Springfield Armory XD 9mm 5" Tactical
Competition action job from the custom shop (4 pound trigger)
2 15 shot mags
Hard case
SA cable lock
Gun has had less than 500 rounds through it. The action job runs $195 from the custom shop. Is $600 a reasonable starting point? You can buy a new tactical for $500 locally, that includes the XD gear. But most shooters dislike the gear and don't use anyway. Am I in the right ballpark? Thanks for any input.

It would be a good deal for someone specifically looking for a 9 and wanting an action job on it. Otherwise, you aren't going to be able to get much more for it than a regular used XD. It sure does help the gun sell...but most people will not pay more money for it, unless they want it in the first place.
Sight unseen, $600 is on the high side of fair. I would submit that $525-550 might help it move. 600 does give you some wiggle room...and you can always come down. Heck, I think thats about right. However, if you can't find someone who wants the action job....you may end up letting it go for 450 or keeping it.

Unless you've got documentaion on the action job that's not going to add alot and as a used gun, many won't pay much extra for it. As much asa seller wants to get all he can fora used gunbecause he thinks is a basket of money, many times it's over priced. Think realistically what YOU would pay for it and take off a bit more.

Thanks for the input guys. Like I said, I didn't know if I was in the right ballpark or not.
Yes, I do have the proper documentation from the custom shop. And I agree, the only way someone would pay the extra, is if they wanted it that way.
A guy I shoot on leagues with is interested in it. I'll see what he thinks of it. I'm not trying to rape anyone, just come up with a fair price for both parties involved.
