Back in October I broke my right foot in more places than I knew I had places. I have had a synthetic boot cast on it every since. So far the doctor won't let me put any weight on it at all. I missed all the hunting seasons. It sounds like it will be several more months as he has to do a little surgery to remove a loose piece of bone.

Rammer. I told my wife when we past Dolan that I thought that was in your neighborhood.

Just checked the weather for Saturday. Looks like the high temp is gonna be minus ten. That may put a crimp in my plan. Where is your buddy from that has a booth there?

Well its actually my best friends dad. Jim Hansen with Jims Guns. He lives just West of place 7 miles or so. Doesn't really have a shop, he just does it out of his house.

Ya, this weekend is supposed to be darned cold. Its starting to flurry here right now. Might not get to town to get my oil changed this afternoon and to sell my 'yotes.

I kinda lost count. I'm somewhere in the mid 20 range to lower 30s I'm guessing.

Been doing alot of calling this winter with the snowcover. Went out with my old pickup to open up some roads so I could get to some spots to call and end up snapping my front driveshaft. Might have to run to Aberdeen tomorrow and see if I can't find the parts to make a new shaft.

James don't take any risks with your foot, do as the Dr. tells you. I know all to well we don't heal as fast as we did some years ago. I'm sorry I didn't know about your injury before now, but wishing you a speedy recovery. Now you can just give the reloading bench a good workout. I've just finished a deer season where I could have legally taken over 200 deer, but only got one. Just can't get out and go like I used to. I wonder if I'll ever be able to get arround like I used to.

. I keep checking the calender and it just keeps saying that I am not getting any younger. The sad truth is that many of us have seen our best years. It gets a little tougher every year. Well I always worked hard and played hard. I should have some good hunting yet to come but walking miles and miles is a thing of the past. Now its ground blind and ambush hunting.(can't climb a tree anymore.)

Rammer I decided to pass on the gun show. Its almost noon and its still -15. Guess Youwill have to buy all the goodies this time. When is the Watertown Show?

You didn't really miss out on too much at the show. Didn't really see anything that was too great of a buy. I was hoping to score some mil surplus 5.56, but didn't find any there. There were lots of Savages and Remingtons at it for newer guns. A few good AR15 booths, and a few decent buys on some Ruger 22 semi auto pistols.

My brother called and said he and his son went down too. They said it was so crowded that I would have had a hard time wheeling around in there. Well I hope better days are coming.
