I'd say the 338 Win mag, it'll take over where the 270 leaves off and cover your bases all the way up to the 375 H&H. You'll notice I didn't mention any short Magnums as I don't expect any of them to survive a very long time.

308 Winchester=CheapestLong Range
223 Remington=Cheapest
Handloaded 270=Badass and Cheapest.
Maybe spend some money on better scope and base/rings for your 270?

There's sure nothing wrong with the .25/'06, BUT it is very close to the .270 in performance. Especially if you use 120-grain bullets in it vs 130's in the .270.........

You read like you already pretty muchhave an idea what you want (25-06).A 25-06 would be a fine addition to what you already have.
