I know you have probably been asked this question 1000 times, but I only have really heard of the thompson and Encore muzzleloaders, but I know there are many out there that are good deals and very nice guns if not better. I just want to know some other companies with real good reputations and that you would be willing to recomend so I can research em some more.

Knight,cva ,remington, savage all make good muzzleloaders

All the major com. make good muzzleloaders. It depends what fits the person and how easy it is to clean them. Some are much more involved than others to clean. Shoot straight.
