Sorry to hear about that. Some people think that thier own feelings towards a gun, truck, motorcycle, etc. should be the way that everybody should feel and take it personal when somebody points out that there are other choices out there and that some of those choices are sometimes way better than what that person feels is the best. I have done it and so has anybody else out there with an opinion, but you know what, thats why I am happy to live in America where we are free to have one of those. Dont take it personal when somebody disagrees with you man, its only thier opinion and whether they are right or wrong all you can do is point out the facts and if they dont like them or want to listen then so be it. You have only been nothing but helpful to myself and many others here on these forums.

Well, I am glad that I have least helped someone. My opinion about guns is this, it doesn't matter how many animals you kill with a certain gun, it matters that you enjoy the gun, and can at least shoot it well. If I don't kill a deer with a certain gun, I'm not going to disown it, I'm just going to feel thankful that we live in a country where we can at least express our opinion, I think some people get so caught up in killing the big buck, that they lose sight of what is really important, the fact that we live in the greatest country in the world.

Are you sending a reciever in for a barrel or buying a complete gun? I am getting my NEF 44 Mag reamed to 445 Super Mag. Its cheap and will still fire 44 Mag and 44 Specials. The 445 Super Mag will boost velocity about 200 fps over the 444 Mag. You can reload it with 44 Mag dies.

A .444 marlin handi rifle would be very cool. I would be very tempted to get one as well, so any range report would be great.

Oh man, it would be cheaper to just send it off, instead of buying a new gun, I'm gonna have to think about that.

Usually it doesn't take them long to get the barrel fitted and send it back. I have sent several in. One was back 13 days after I mailed it off. Usually they are not quite that fast. I have been trying to get the 500 S&W but I just plain can't find one. They do seem to have the barrels in stock though so I may send a reciever in for that one.

I think I'm just going to have one of my recievers, sent in, that would save space, I already have 3 cabinets full, and really have nowhere to put another gun.[&:]But, I can just stand the 444 barrel on the inside of my cabinet.

Call their customer service and be sure that what you want is available.

Alright, I'm gonna be doing that after the first of the year.
