My findings were that the 25-06 gets about all the velocity that most 25 caliber bullets can reasonably use with lesss powder, less muzzle blast and much more barrel life. Many others I know who have tried both, have concluded the same thing. However if you have a Rambo complex and think that more is always better then as someone said, go for it. I have hunted deer with most of the 25's and to the shock of many, the 250 Savage has killed them just as dead as the Weatherby.
