22 magnum semi auto - Suggestions

Looking to purchase one without spending a ton of money. What is your experience and what do you recommend?

I have had a Ruger 10/22 magnum, and they are fine if you like 10/22's.

Get one in 17 HMR instead of the 22 mag. It is the most accurate rimfire cartridge ever. I have a Ruger 10/22 in 22 LR and it's a pretty good gun. I do have some accuracy problems with it but it's reliable.
