Kimber's are fantastic. I own a few. Anschutz is fantastic. I have owned two-sold them both. No particular reason for selling. They are fantastic weapons. Either one would make an excellent choice. I say buy American. Tom.

I have not shot the Kimber's, but have owned and shot the Anschutz. Their quality and accuracy is second to none. For many years I shot thousands of round with anAnschutz 1413 in 3 position and prone competion with no change in accuracy or dependablilty. I own an older model 1416D for plinking with the grand kids and it performsas well asit's big brother.

thanks sniper. i'm looking for a high quality rimfire to also shoot 3P, silhouette and perhaps sporter benchrest. ( plus it will be nice to have something worthy of becoming a family "heirloom"
). if i can afford it, i will look at the anschutz match action models. but the kimbers also seem to produce great test targets ( as risky as it is to take those targets as "proof" of great accuracy) at slightly cheaper prices with some lovely timber on board. hence my original question.
