Stevens 20ga single shot.........
My grandma gave me her 20ga stevens single shot to use for deer hunting this year....I was just curious about if this gun firing 3/4 oz winchester super X rifled slugs is a suitable deer gun???? Thanks in advance.....Thick brush country all shots (almost) inside of 60yards......

You gun will be fine within the limits you have mentioned. Take it to the range first and try different brands and slug weights though to find out which one shoots best in your gun. I shoot a 20 guage single also and mine really likes the Federal Classic or Premium rifled slugs. Next year I plan to get a rifled barrel for it. Find which slug your gun likes and enjoy.
