I have a .270 Remington 700 BDL. I want to replace the beat up wood stock with a synthetic thumbhole. I've looked online at Bell and Carlson stocks. Anybody have any experience with these? Any recommendations on brands? I want a stock that is fully finished. How hard is it to replace a stock?

I don't have any experience with those, but I do like the way they look.

I love the way they look also, but again, I have no experience. The reason I don't is that they are both very expensive. I've always had a hard time spending more for the stock than I do for the rifle or the optics. Anyway, I'm not rich by any means, so check them out for yourself.

I don't know anything about these but have been dreaming of one. I tried a thumbhole that happened to fit my arm very well. Icouldn't believe how well I shot with itand now I gotta have one.
