Default Bought a Tikka T3

I finally broke down and bought me a Tikka. Actually, my wife made me do it. She said I deserved one cause I been kind ofsickly lately and she was trying to cheer me up so who am I to argue. I bought the camo version in a 25-06. I also put a nikon monarch 4.5 X 16.5 x 44 AO scope on the rifle and I really like it. I assume she wanted me to buy a good scope too, but I didn't tell her that part.
It shot good right out of the box but I went ahead and did the break in procedure and shot about 50 rounds throught it while brushing and cleaning. I then shot2 groups about3/4" size at a hundred yards. The thirdgroup was smaller. At 300 yards, it shot 3-1/2 inches but it was a little windy and I wasn't real happy withmy brace position but I was happy with the performance. If the wind isn't blowing this coming weekend, I plan on shooting it a bunch more.
I shot some Remington 100 grain core lokts, Federal Premium 117 grain, and Federal Fusion 120 grain. So far it seems to like the Fusion 120 grain better than the others. I'd be happy to hear some more recommendations.

The Fusions are hard to beat. I have really had good results with them in every caliber that I have tried them in. I loaded both the 100 grain and 115 grain Nosler Ballistic tips in my last 25-06, also with excellent results on Mule deer.

Sounds like you have a very nice rifle, Enjoy it.

Welcome into the Tikka fold. Suckers shoot don't they? I also have one in 25-06. Congats on a good buy. Mine likes 117 grain Hornady interlocks and 117 grain Sierra Gamekings best.
