Default Know anything about the Savage Striker?

I am looking for a hand cannon. I was looking strongly at the TC Encore, but today I did find a Used Savage Striker in 308 for 350.00 out the door. It has a simmons 2x 20mm on it.

Can anyone tell me anything about this gun, and the price?

I appreciate your help.

I know that the Striker is seldomed mentioned when talking about rifle cartridges chambered in a handgun, I have heard good things about the Striker, especially about their accuracy, they say they are very accurate, but the Encore is a fine "Hand Cannon" as well, it just depends on the money you want to spend.

They were a pretty fair gun. I don't know about the price. It seem in line to me compared with the other simular products. The scope might be iffy though.

I re-barrelled one of these to .260 Remington Ackley Improved a couple of years ago. It is a pretty well made gun. Finished product shot sub MOA. Like James B said, the scope is pretty marginal. These kind of guns are very hard on scopes and mounts. Don't cut any corners on this aspect of the project.
