M70 scope mounts
My bro bought a Winchester M70 and wants to put a leupold scope on it. If he goes w/ 40mm obj. lens will the med. dual dovetail mounts work? how about if he puts a 50mm obj. lens on it, would he need high rings or med?

I just heard from someone else that he can go with a low on a 40mm scope without an adjustable objective or a medium with an AO. With the 50mm ring, he will need to go with a high. Is this correct?
