I have a simmon aetec 3.8X12X44 on my 30-06 and it has not failed me. I like simmons scopes. They are the same as busnell IMO. don't buy the bottom of the line. would you but a busnell banner on your gun.......hell no!!!!

When I first started hunting, funds were limited so I had a 4x bushnell banner on my rifle. It held zero and was quite reliable.I can't say that for my simmons.

I have a Bushnell Banner 3-9x32 on my Omega and when i shot it this past sunday it was still dead on from last year, was kinda dissapointed that i only had to shoot twice as both shots were right on the money, i also put a Banner 6-24x40 on my Ruger and the quality of this scope is great, accuracy has also been as much as i can ask for, as for simmons, i have one that came with the package deal on a Savage and the Zero always holds from year to year so no comlaints, i think someone already mentioned to get rid of the "see throughs" but you should know what to do by now so good luck with your rifle.

Redfield , simmons, and weaver were all purcased by Meade optics ( makers of telescopes and such ) . They are supposed to be super scopes these days, but unfortunately they are haveing a lot of issues with these sopes right now and are having a terrible time getting any shipped out the door.
I tried to find one of the new Simmons Aetec masters series scopes a year and a half ago. They are still hard to come by. Never have seen one yet.
The simmons are to compete with nikon, bushnell, etc...Upper end of the middle class.
The redfield is coming out to compete with Leupold and such. The prices will start around 550 + dollars.
Weaveer is anybodys guess.
