remington 597
I'm a newbie to the forums but there seems to be a lot of greatinfo here so my question is does anybody use the remington 597 .22 caliber for squirrel? Would you recommend this gun? I mostly hunt squirrel with my shotgun but I plan to use a .22 this year. Any help would be appreciated.

My son has a 597 that will shoot dime size groups using Wolf Target Match ammo at 50 yards. I like to shoot it off the bench but it has a horrible trigger. It would work great for squirrel. We plan to use my son's next weekend. The high velocity HP's don't cycle well out of my son's gun.
