Zeiss VM 2.5x10x50/Talley's
Overall Condition Very Good - 85%

400.00 for the scope and they can keep the rifle. I know there are Lemons in all gun lines but the worst POC I ever owned was a Weather Mark five in 300 WM. I will never own one again. Mine was left hand as well. I shot it for a month or so and took it to a gun shop and had them sell it for me. Someone wanted it and it sold pretty quick. I hope he was as happy to get it as I was to be rid of it.
Many have them and like them, I was unlucky with the one i got. I might buy a Vanguard as at least they are not grossly over priced.

Buying, well not me but my partner is thinking. I owned one except rh, wood/blue and no break. It was a nice piece to look at and shot fine but being a southpaw never fit me real well. I know what the rig retails for but just curious what it should fetch used.
James you really think the scope is worth400, they retail for 1500? I was thinking the scope should fetch more than that alone. Crap I sold a 4200 elite formore!
Any way just curious. Thanks again

I think what James is trying to say is that you have to find a buyer for your special scope. To most people it is just a scope and they can buy a Nikon or Leupold for about $400. I think you could do about $700 for it but you would hard pressed to find a buyer.

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't that close to a $3,000 rig brand new. $400 for that Zeiss? That scope used will easily bring a $1,000 if it is in great shape. I am left handed, If the guy only wants $1200 to $1600 let me know, I will buy it in a minute. Most shooters do not give the Weatherby's a chance. All WB's shoot large for caliber bullets better. The reason for this is that these rifles are free-bored, to generate the greater pressure, which generates the higher velocity. You have described a fine weapon that your friend should be proud to own. Tom.
