i've gone through this as well, take all three outside if they'll let you, thats what i did, they all looked close in the store, but the nikon seamed much clearer in natural light

I have Leupold VX II's and Burris Fullfield II B-Plex's
 
I used to be a die-hard Leupold guy, that was until I tried Burris,, now i am a believer in Burris scopes... great quality for the price!!!

That's the problem I had of mine not holding a group. That's also the problem the other guy I know with one had. The 3rd guy I know with a Leupold hasn't had a problem but it's on his black powder rifle he just got last year so he hasn't tested it out much.
